“LANDSCAPE DANCING”
IN COLLABORATION WITH ARTISTS IN HEALTHCARE

The School of Contemporary Dancers Professional Program is delighted to present Stephanie Ballard’s “Landscape Dancing” for Culture Days at St. Boniface Hospital on September 22 for the opening of Culture Days.

“EXCHANGE PROJECTS”

Our annual December Performance Series, “Exchange Projects”, will be presented at The Gas Station Arts Centre on December 7, 8, 9, and 10. These performances will feature choreographic works by renowned faculty and guest faculty: Jolene Bailie, Stephanie Ballard, Paula Blair, Marie-Josée Chartier, Bill Evans, Odette Heyn, Christina Medina, Casimiro Nhussi, Gaile Petursson-Hiley, and Darryl Tracy.

COMPOSITION PERFORMANCES

The Professional Program will present two performances featuring choreographic works by upper-level students at The Gas Station Arts Centre, January 26 and 27. This is an exciting opportunity for students to present their first choreographic creations.

SCHOOL TOUR PERFORMANCES

The Professional Program will present 14 shows in our annual Winnipeg Public School Tour series. This is a wonderful opportunity to share contemporary dance with public school students throughout the Winnipeg School Division. The tour will take place during February.

“DANCE REFLECTIONS”

Our annual May Performance Series, “Dance Reflections”, will be presented at The Gas Station Arts Centre on May 9, 10, 11, and 12. These performances will feature choreographic works by renowned faculty and guest faculty: Stephanie Ballard, Paula Blair, Marc Boivin, Mehdi Farajpour, Odette Heyn, Brent Lott, Gaile Petursson-Hiley, Robin Poitras, Edward Poitras, Robyn Thomson Kacki, and Jera Wolfe.

REGINA TOUR

We are delighted to collaborate with New Dance Horizons’ Artistic Directors, Robin Poitras and Edward Poitras to present our graduating dancers in a professional project for NDH’s Stream of Dance Festival. The tour will take place in June.
